The awakened state of mind is not miles away… it is always just an inch away.
But recognizing that awakened state and abiding in it are two different things. We have lots of deeply ingrained habits that are stealing our awareness away most of the time.
Uncovering those habits and releasing them is a big part of the path. Otherwise practice would be easy!
