Awakening Our Sense of Being Alive

Meditation is about awakening our sense of actually being alive. Which doesn’t mean making things all happy or cheerful, necessarily. It’s more about a sense of vividness of experience. Like when you hear thunder, you could just add the label “thunder”. There’s no aliveness in the perception- it’s just “Oh, it’s thundering out”. But then do you really experience it? Life can be amazing if we just pay attention.
