Body, Speech, & Mind

Buddhist training works on 3 levels – body, speech and mind.

If we are angry at somebody, we can start by taming our body and not hitting them. At the level of speech we can refrain from speaking harshly to them, and at the level of mind we can become aware of a mental pattern producing a reactive, aggressive response in the first place.

All have value, but if we train the mind, the others follow naturally.
