In Buddhism combining study and practice is extremely important. If we just do study and no practice, it all becomes very theoretical. One could become a great expert on enlightenment without ever actually glimpsing it.
Or if we practiced without studying, then there can be a sense of walking very steadily and slowly in the wrong direction. It’s crucial to mix the two.
