Contemplating Impermanence

For a Buddhist, one of the big jobs is contemplating impermanence – really thinking it through.

We may understand impermanence intellectually but we still act as if all kinds of things are permanent. Then we get upset when our hair turns grey and our teeth and hair fall out and our body gets sick.

We get so upset it’s almost like we’re insulted. Why ME? Well once you have ME, that’s what’s going to happen to ME.
