Nobody can save you, from the Buddhist point of view; it’s entirely up to you.
Whether you spiral down into months of depression or work through it and address some of those issues, it is completely up to each one of us. Nobody else can pull you out of that. But that is also the good news. Nobody can push you down, either.
This fundamental aloneness is a source of great beauty and poetry in the Buddhist tradition.
