Practicing and Developing Virtue

In Buddhism we practice what is called the 6 paramitas: generosity, discipline, patience, exertion, meditation, and wisdom. We’re not cultivating exotic or extraordinary states at all.

We’re practicing and developing virtue – something closer to the truth, something uplifted, something that isn’t based on false premises and delusion, something that will actually be good for ourselves and helpful to others.
