Buddha actually talked about the cause and cessation of suffering. That means that we start by acknowledging the reality of our suffering and confusion and stop trying to cover it up – and then look deeply at its origin. This is not a quick or easy fix and does not really lend itself to a weekend enlightenment intensive kind of approach. Maybe a lifetime enlightenment intensive, but who would sign up for that? So maybe a weekend is a good start! How about next weekend?
