There Is No “I” in Egolessness

The notion that somehow, when we finally become enlightened, there will be a bigger, better, improved I that will accomplish this feat, celebrate, and be adored is the final twist, the final irony in the spiritual path. That is why the path is accompanied by the warning that we could actually be developing an ego-centered version of spirituality and thinking we are becoming enlightened.
